Welcome to our Spirit Page

Spirit
What is the spirit? What is
the soul? Are these simply two different words
with the same meaning? These questions have long
been debated by religious leaders, scholars, and
philosophers throughout time. Just as one cannot
see the essence of their life source or Creator,
one cannot see the essence of the spirit or the
soul.
Spirit is that invisible force you feel within
your body and being. It is your breath, your
heartbeat, the consciousness directing all the
functions of your body and mind. It is spirit
staring back at you through your physical eyes,
when you look into a mirror. Spirit is the
consciousness that animates all life, and the
mystery and majesty that connects all to its
spiritual source.
Pagans, Wiccas, occultists, lightworkers all
believe in spirit. Even psychics and mystics
acknowledge that life is more than just physical
form. Edgar Cayce, the twentieth century psychic
and medical clairvoyant known as “the Sleeping
Prophet,” saw soul as the developing part of a
person’s whole nature, the bridge between spirit
realms and physical realms, between the divine
self and the earth-bound self. He defined soul
as man’s subconscious and spirit as the spark of
life or super-conscious mind within the
collective mind of God. To Cayce, spirit was the
image of God within man, and as such, a perfect
and unblemished quality within human kind. Cayce
had made over 14,000
trips into afterlife
realms under the influence of hypnosis.
While most religions differentiate between the
spirit and the soul, most Pagan and Wicca
beliefs do not. They see them as the same divine
force within all things. Wicca and Pagan sects
believe in the existence of a deity, or deities,
as a form of the God/Goddess principles. But
unlike Christians, Pagans and Wicca’s share a
common belief in animism, which is the belief
that everything that exists has within it a
divine soul or spirit. This includes animals,
plants, and everything in nature. This belief is
shared by most occultists as well.
Lightworkers also believe in an inner presence
that all people are endowed with, and which is
used to increase spiritual awareness to reach a
state of enlightenment. They define
enlightenment as awareness of one’s true
existence and oneness with the Creator.
Christians, spiritualists, occultists, Pagans,
and Wiccas all share the belief that spirit is
within all people. The differences between their
beliefs revolve around whether or not they see
spirit and soul as being the same, or if they
define them as two separate qualities. So we
again return to the age-old questions: What is
spirit? What is the soul? Are they one and the
same?
Perhaps the answers reside in your own being.
Perhaps your belief in the existence and
definitions of
spirit and soul can only be found
in your own perceptions. It is human nature to
want to understand who and what you are and how
you came to be. It is human
nature to seek to
understand your Creator, to learn of your
purpose in life. All one needs to do to
experience spirit is to look around. Look into
the eyes of an infant. Use
Transecendental Meditation mantras
to feel the spirit and soul coursing through
you. Put your hand over your
heart and feel it beat. Gaze deeply into your
eyes in a mirror and ask: “Who is that behind my
eyes, peering back at me?”
And spirit will answer.
Of the spirit:
We are all of the spirit no matter what path we choose. Our physical body is only a vessel while we are in the third dimensional reality. Or should I say tuned in to that reality.
I encourage you to continue your path to enlightenment. Choose your physical guides well. Your spiritual guides always have your best interest in mind even though what they tell you may not make immediate sense.
You are the universe in all its perfection and Grace so be sure to remind yourself of that fact from time to time.
I'm glad you could join us here please enjoy.
